Groundzero Software Pvt. Ltd.

Effective Date: February 2026  ·  Version 1.0

Groundzero Software Pvt. Ltd. (“Groundzero”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates a fully managed unified analytics platform built on a modern lakehouse architecture. We are committed to being transparent about how we handle personal information and to treating your data with care and respect.

This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights and choices available to you. It applies to our website at groundzero.cloud, our Platform Services, and any other services that link to this policy.

This policy does not cover: (i) data that enterprise customers upload or process through our Platform on behalf of their end users — that data is governed by our agreement with the customer; or (ii) third-party services linked from our platform, which have their own privacy practices.

1. Who We Are

Groundzero is a B2B SaaS company headquartered in Chennai, India. We serve enterprise organizations, system integrators, and IT consultants worldwide, providing a unified platform for data engineering, machine learning, business intelligence, and analytics — all governed through a single lakehouse architecture.

Our typical users are data professionals, analytics teams, and IT consultants who access our platform on behalf of their organizations under an enterprise agreement.

2. What Personal Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Login Information

When you or your organization creates an account on Groundzero, we collect the information needed to set up and secure that account:

  • Full name and professional email address
  • Job title and company or organization name
  • Authentication credentials (username, hashed password, or single sign-on tokens)
  • Account preferences and settings you configure

2.2 Usage and Analytics Data

To operate, improve, and secure our platform, we collect data about how the platform is used:

  • Features and modules accessed, and time spent within them
  • Queries executed, jobs submitted, and pipeline configurations (metadata only — not the content of your data)
  • Error logs and diagnostic information
  • IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
  • Session timestamps and navigation paths within the platform

We collect usage metadata to understand platform performance and improve the product. We do not read or access the business data your organization stores or processes through the platform.

2.3 Payment and Billing Information

If your organization subscribes to a paid tier of our platform, we collect billing-related information:

  • Organization billing contact name and email
  • Invoice and subscription records
  • Payment method details — these are processed and stored by our third-party payment provider and are not held directly by Groundzero

2.4 Company and Team Details

To provision and manage your organization’s workspace, we collect:

  • Organization name, size, and industry
  • Names and email addresses of team members invited to the platform
  • Role and access permissions assigned within the platform
  • Information about your existing data infrastructure shared during onboarding or support

2.5 Communications

When you contact us — whether through support tickets, emails, demo requests, or feedback forms — we keep a record of those communications, including any information you share with us in the course of those interactions.

3. How We Use Your Information

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

4.1 Within Groundzero

Personal information may be shared across Groundzero’s teams (engineering, support, sales, and legal) strictly on a need-to-know basis for the purposes described in this policy.

4.2 With Service Providers

We work with carefully selected third-party vendors who support our operations — including cloud infrastructure providers, payment processors, customer support tools, and analytics services. These vendors are contractually required to handle your data only as directed by us and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

4.3 With Your Organization

If you access Groundzero through an enterprise agreement, your organization’s administrators have the ability to manage your account, view usage data, and control your access. Your organization, not Groundzero, is the primary controller of how the platform is configured and used within their environment.

4.4 With System Integrators and Partners

Where you have engaged a system integrator or IT consultant to implement or manage Groundzero on your behalf, we may share relevant account and usage information with that partner as necessary to deliver the service. This is done only with appropriate authorization from your organization.

4.5 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose personal information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to lawful requests from authorities, protect the rights or safety of Groundzero or our users, or enforce our agreements.

4.6 In a Business Transaction

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users where required by law.

5. International Data Transfers

Groundzero is headquartered in India and serves customers across India, the United States, Canada, Europe, and other regions globally. To deliver our services, your data may be processed in countries other than your own. However, you can choose the region for your data residency.

Where personal data is transferred from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland to countries that do not have equivalent data protection laws, we put appropriate safeguards in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or equivalent mechanisms. We can provide copies of these safeguards on request.

Groundzero offers enterprise customers the ability to sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that formalizes the terms of data handling for their organization. If your organization requires a DPA, please contact us at hello@groundzero.cloud

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specifically:

  • Account and login data is retained for the lifetime of the account and for a reasonable period after account closure to handle any follow-up requests or disputes.
  • Usage data is typically retained in identifiable form for up to 24 months, after which it may be aggregated or anonymized.
  • Billing records are retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting laws.
  • Support communications are retained for as long as necessary to resolve the matter and for a reasonable period afterward.

When we no longer need personal information, we securely delete or anonymize it.

7. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Groundzero employs technical and organizational measures including role-based access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, audit logging, and regular security reviews.

However, no system is completely immune to risk. If you become aware of any security concern related to your Groundzero account, please contact us promptly at hello@groundzero.cloud

If your personal data was submitted to the Groundzero platform by your employer or another organization, please direct your request to that organization, as they are the data controller for that data.
