1. Getting around the admin area
Administer GroundzeroUsers, groups, access, themes and chat budgets.
The admin area is where you manage people, access, sites, budgets, email senders, billing and account details. Open it at admin.<client>.<domain>.
Open the admin area#
- Go to your admin address and sign in.
- If you see Access restricted, your account is not in the Admin group. Ask an existing administrator to add you (chapter 3).
The header shows only the Groundzero logo, a help icon and your account menu. You move around with the side menu on the left.
Use the side menu#
The side menu starts collapsed, showing icons only. Choose Expand sidebar to show labels. It collapses again whenever you change page.

| Menu item | Use it to |
|---|---|
| User & Groups | Add people and service accounts, create API keys, manage groups (chapters 2 and 3) |
| Access Manager | Allow or deny what people and groups can do (chapter 4) |
| Sites | Create sites and set their theme, logo and background (chapter 5) |
| Custom RTE | Manage custom runtime images (see the Build and Run guide) |
| Manage the addresses notification emails are sent from (chapter 6) | |
| Deployment Manager | Copy published dashboards, jobs, notebooks and models between sites (chapter 10) |
| Budgets | Limit AI chat spending (chapter 7) |
| Billing | See the monthly bill (chapter 8). It is shown only for monthly subscriptions |

A typical setup, step by step#
When you bring on a new team, you usually do these in order:
- Create the site if it does not exist yet (chapter 5).
- Add the people (chapter 2).
- Put them in a group (chapter 3).
- Give the group the permissions it needs, including AI Chat (chapter 4).
- Set an AI chat budget for the group (chapter 7).
